Description of Services

Lexington is a dynamic historic town of over 30,000 people located eleven miles northwest of Boston. A leader in biotechnology, Lexington has an energetic and well-diversified economy of over 1,200 businesses within six business districts.

The economic officer is available to assist businesses located in Lexington and to provide assistance to businesses obtaining permits.

Lexington has direct access to two state highways, Route 2 and 128/95, both major Boston area corridors. Additionally, the town is connected to the MBTA Red Line through a bus system and local bus service within Lexington is provided by Lexpress. The Minuteman Regional Bike Trail bisects the Town including several of the commercial areas.
