Historic Districts Commission Meetings

The Historic Districts Commission meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m., in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room, Town Hall. 

The Historic Districts Commission has scheduled the following meetings for the balance of 2007

Applications for formal hearings are due a minimum of 3 1/2 weeks prior to the scheduled meeting date.

To promote the educational, cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public through the preservation and protection of historic buildings, places, and and districts.

Appointments

The Historic Districts Commission are appointed by the Selectmen for overlapping 5-year terms:  two from candidates nominated by the Lexington Historical Society, one from candidates nominated by the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society, one from candidates nominated by the Trustees of the Cary Memorial Library, and one selected at large by the Selectmen.
