LEXPRESS |
This
Lexington neighborhood, mini-bus service operates six routes, each route
runs once per hour.
All buses are wheelchair equipped and ADA compliant.
Service on weekdays is from 6:45 AM to 6:25 PM, September through
June, and 7:00 AM to 6:25 PM, July and August. LEXPRESS connects with the MBTA, Burlington B-Line and Lowell Regional Transit. LEXPRESS
Route #1 stops at the Senior Center weekdays at 12:48 PM, 1:48 PM, and
upon request. You can ride LEXPRESS to Stop & Shop, Market Basket,
Lahey Medical, and Burlington Mall. FARE:
$.75 Senior (65+) or Special Needs. Transfers within the LEXPRESS
system are $.25.
For riders on Route #5 going to Burlington, a $.25 surcharge
applies. Annual

MBTA |
As part of the regional bus system, Routes #62 and #72
service Lexington and provide a link to Alewife Station and the Red Line to

Housing Villages Stop & Shop Bus

Tuesday and Friday, a C&W school bus transports residents
from the three Lexington Housing Villages to Stop & Shop. On Tuesday, the
destination is the Lexington store and on Friday, to the Bedford Stop &
Shop. The service begins at 8:50AM at Countryside Village followed by stops
at Vynebrooke and Greeley. The bus leaves Stop & Shop at 10:30AM to return
to each of the villages. Fare: FREE, compliments of Stop & Shop |
DOOR TO DOOR SERVICES |

MBTA “THE RIDE” |
Residents with mobility issues who are unable to use public
transport are eligible. THE RIDE operates from 6AM to 1AM every day. The
application process includes input from a health care professional who must
complete the Application for Certification of ADA Paratransit Eligibility. MBTA
processing period is 3 weeks. Rides are scheduled in advance. Fare: $2.00 each way for local trips. NO tipping is allowed. Information: 617-222-5123 |
FISH of Lexington |
FISH volunteer drivers provide rides to medical
appointments only, primarily in the Lexington area, for Lexington
residents who do not have alternative transportation. FISH is not
limited to seniors. Rides are limited to one ride per week and are
based on volunteer availability. FISH will provide transportation to
Boston and Lahey in Burlington, as well as around town. Rides must
be scheduled at least two business days in advance. Please note that
during the months of June, July, and August, there is no transportation
provided on Fridays. FISH is a free service. Call 781-861-9300

Disabled American Veterans of America |
Disabled American Veterans of America volunteer drivers offer rides to disabled veterans who have medical appointments scheduled at military facilities or Veterans' Administration hospitals. Disabled veterans must have a Disabled American Veteran Identification Card. Contact the Disabled American Veterans of America office at the local Veterans' Administration Hospital where the medical appointment is scheduled.
