Lexington offers a variety of transportation options to get you
around Town, neighboring communities, and greater Boston.

 

LEXPRESS

 

 

 

 

LEXPRESS has been serving Lexington since 1979.  It is one of the oldest suburban transit systems in Eastern MA.  Providing a  fixed route minibus service, Lexington neighborhoods are united with Town services and shopping centers.    

Funded by the Town of Lexington and the MBTA.

 

Seniors/Special Needs

In addition to LEXPRESS  equipped with wheelchair lifts and  ADA compliant, other public and private services are available.
 

MBTA 

MBTA Routes #62 and #76 servicing Alewife Station connect with LEXPRESS.
 
Burlington B-Line
 
Burlington B-Line connects with LEXPRESS at the Burlington Mall and Middlesex Commons.
Lowell Regional Transit (LRTA)
 
LRTA connects with LEXPRESS at the Burlington Mall.
Minuteman Bike Path
 
Bicyclists have access to neighboring towns through the Minuteman Bike Path, a regional rails to trails system.
 
Massport Public transit connections to Logan Airport are from Alewife Station via the MBTA and the Anderson Transportation Center in Woburn. Massport maintains all regional airports and support service.
 
Mass Rides

Massachusetts Transit Links
Commuters can learn of ride sharing programs and financial incentives to promote public transit through Mass Rides, a free, State service. Massachusetts Public Transit maintains a comprehensive listing of all State transit systems.
 
128 Business Council  Lexington businesses can explore travel options for their employees through the 128 Business Council.
 
Parking Permits The Town operates a Parking Permits  program to accommodate employees working in Lexington Center.
