About Lexington Reads

A Lexington community reading project

Launched in January 2005, Lexington Reads aims to cultivate the culture of reading, discussion, and lifelong learning in Lexington. Sharing a common book among people who live, work and attend school in Lexington creates a kind of town-wide book club adding richness and depth to the experience of reading as well as fostering community. Support from the Trustees of the Cary Memorial Library will insure that Lexington Reads is a yearly tradition.

Lexington Reads is inviting all book clubs, civic organizations, and neighborhood, religious, and educational communities to join in. Our goal is that a wide spectrum of Lexington residents, including students, will read, attend the talks, and participate in the forums and the drop-in discussions on this very important and readable book. Join us!

We are an ad hoc committee of Lexington residents representing different groups and organizations, including civic organizations, the library, business communities, and conservation groups.
